In Charlotte and surrounding counties, water is plentiful. Our community is a little touch of paradise, interwoven with an intricate system of fresh and saltwater canals. The magnificent Myakka and Peace Rivers flow into Charlotte Harbor, one of the biggest, most beautiful and productive estuaries left in Florida. The sealife is abundant.
Tarpon migration occurs each spring to Boca Grande Pass, the deep-water inlet that separates Gasparilla and Cayo Costa Islands. During the spring, these large fish are present to feed on blue crab. This is the best spot for Tarpon fishing.
If you like to boat, motor or sail, this is the place to be. Waterfront lots are highly sought after, with many homes having their own boat docks. Boating is a large part of everyday life. As avid boaters, George and I regularly enjoy exploring and cruising the area's wonderful waterways.
During late Spring and in the Fall, Snook fishing is at its best. In the Gulf, reefs provide havens for Amberjack, Barracuda, Cobia, Snapper and Grouper. This is just a taste of the saltwater fishing you will enjoy while fishing in our wonderful corner of Florida. And then again, there's the freshwater catches! But we'll save that for another day.
Let me help you find that special waterfront property!
